Hey Robert! I could see this being a really cool idea. The reason we didn’t use secure pages for the registration is that the only info being sent is email addresses - rather than any kind of financial information like credit card numbers, etc. where you would normally see the secure servers (https). Since the secure servers add higher level of complexity and can only promise to protect the relatively common information we’re asking people to share, it didn’t seem justifiable to spend the extra money. I would advise anyone worried about their email address being unsecured to simply create a new email address specifically for their Pearl Web Login or use a junk email address. Hope this makes sense and is acceptable!
