Outreach Ministry

Recognizing the tension between "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19) and "Pure and undefiled religion is this: to visit orphans and widows in distress" (James 1:27), Pearl Church seeks to ground its philosophy of outreach and missions on the fulcrum of God's love. Jesus' iteration of the two greatest commandments, to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22.38-39; Mark 12.30-31; Luke 10.26-27), informs every policy and decision bearing upon our relationship to our community and our world. We express these values locally through various service opportunities and by teaming with established ministries that serve the neighborhood around us. We express these values globally by teaming with organizations and individuals who reflect the love of Jesus and the heart of Pearl Church around the world.

• Tim and Rachel Uthman serving with International Teams – Rome, Italy

  The Uthmanns serve the broad community of refugees that daily pour in and out of Rome, offering hope, help, and a vision of Jesus. More info at their blog

• Jennifer Morser serving with Campus Crusade – Portland, OR

  Jennifer works at the Campus Crusade regional office in Portland. She trains Campus Crusade staff and leads staff and students in prayer retreats. For more details and specific prayer requests, visit her website.

• Michelle Dahlberg serving with Young Life – San Diego, CA

  Michelle spends her time loving and discipling high school students in San Diego.

• Mark and Brenda Niemeyer serving with Campus Crusade – Boulder, CO

  Mark and Brenda serve at a regional office with Campus Crusade in Boulder. Mark trains leaders and coordinates the annual winter conference and summer projects. Brenda is actively involved in establishing an Orphan Care ministry.
