Pearl Kids & Youth
Pearl Kids & Youth is committed to providing space for all who participate to be seen, heard, known and loved just as they are. Our hope is that our weekly connection with Pearl Kids and Youth will be an encouraging reminder of how loved each child is by God and in the Pearl Church community. Our youngest children will find experiences of Divine Love; our elementary children will encounter a common table where everyone belongs; and our youth will engage our sacred story through the lens of love and inclusion.

Sunday morning programs
During our 10:30am service, children ages 1 year old - 5th grade will meet in age-appropriate classes. These classes will each be staffed with 2 of our volunteer leaders who will provide a safe, friendly and loving environment for kids to play, read books, color and be with friends.
Toddlers & Preschoolers (1-5 years old)—In every story told, song sung, game played, and volunteer interaction, we intend for our toddlers and preschoolers to intentionally experience expressions of love.
Elementary (6-11 years old)—In every story told, song sung, game played, and volunteer interaction, we intend for our elementary children to intentionally encounter their own belonging as well as the belonging of “the other,” whoever that happens to be.
Youth in 6th - 12th grade are invited to join in person on Sunday at the 10:30am service. During this service they can participate in a class that exists to help them engage our sacred story, which is led by one of our volunteer youth staff. This sacred story, however, is not simply read and discussed. Rather, it is interpreted through our youths’ deep knowing of love and inclusion, which grew out of their younger years at Pearl. Our youth also have a once-a-month special event on a Sunday. You can find details on upcoming events here.
What to expect
When arriving on a Sunday morning, parents can check their kids in with our leaders. Toddlers & Preschoolers can join their class right away on arriving, while our elementary kids and youth begin with their parents in our service for the Call to Worship and first two songs. At that time, elementary and youth are excused to their classes, and our volunteer leaders will lead them to their classes. Our elementary and youth will rejoin the main service in time to share in our Common Table, the Eucharist.
