7. An Afterlife Story

Story & Table exists to make connections between the stories that we tell and the tables that our stories sustain. Through a lens that is intentionally non-violent and non-dominion, Mike Roth explores an ecology of Christian language that sets loving tables, around which humans are freed and inspired to flourish.

In this final episode of Season One, Mike explains that today’s Christian storytelling on the afterlife is primarily the result of church history, not biblical interpretation. He then traces the evolution of Christian thought on the afterlife to tell a more honest story, that’s capable of setting a more loving table.
