Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, which prepares us for the celebration of Easter by making room for the Spirit of God to renew us. At this year's Ash Wednesday service, children and adults together will engage three experiences that encourage us to come home to God, self, and others. Our time will conclude with ashes placed upon our brows in the form of a cross, while the words, “Remember that you are earth and to earth you shall come home” are spoken over our lives.
