Throughout COVID we’ve all grown weary of having our hearts broken open, and our weariness can cause us to shrink back, close up, and even harden. With this in mind, this year’s Good Friday service will consider the perspectives of those who observed Jesus’ suffering and it will invite us to remain compassionate and open to the difficulties of being human in this world.
This special service will follow a tenebrae format, as we slowly extinguish candles while descending with Jesus into the darkness of Good Friday. Childcare will be offered for children through 5th grade; youth are encouraged to attend the service with their families.
